In front of the suction port of the pump, airtight containers are generally arranged. In addition, many air circuit components, such as valves, flow meters, airtight containers, etc., must be connected to the exhaust end of the pump, resulting in a large exhaust resistance, and often There is a case where the exhaust port is completely blocked.

The PCF series of miniature vacuum pumps commonly used in laboratories can provide a negative pressure of -50Kpa at the suction port, and a positive pressure of 100Kpa higher than the atmospheric pressure at the exhaust port. The suction port and exhaust port of this miniature vacuum pump can be blocked arbitrarily (hanging a large load), and even the pumping and gas ports are completely blocked, which is also a normal operation. 1. Starting problem with load.

If the laboratory vacuum gauge pump has a vacuum at its suction port or a pressure at the exhaust port before starting, another technical parameter of the pump should be considered: the maximum starting load Pis value of the air inlet, and the maximum starting load of the exhaust port Pos value. A typical application example is to use a laboratory vacuum gauge pump to maintain the vacuum or positive pressure state in the container. When the vacuum or positive pressure in the container is lower than the set value, the pump needs to be powered on and stopped when it is higher than the set value.

Precautions for the use of laboratory vacuum gauge pumps:

  • 1. The laboratory vacuum gauge pump should be installed in a clean, flat, dry and well-ventilated place. It is advisable to keep the pump temperature at 15°C-40°C as much as possible. Otherwise, due to the increase of oil temperature, the decrease of viscosity, and the saturated vapor pressure will increase, resulting in a decrease in ultimate vacuum.
  • 2. Before use, check the oil level. It is advisable to fill oil to the center of the oil mark when the pump is stopped. If it is too low, it will not be able to seal the exhaust valve.
  • 3. Try to use the clean vacuum oil of the specified brand. If there is any difficulty, you can use No. 50 mechanical oil instead; after oiling, screw the screw plug. The oil should be filtered to prevent debris from entering and blocking the oil hole.
  • 4. If the relative humidity is high, or the pumped gas contains a lot of condensable steam, it is advisable to open the gas ballast valve after connecting the pumped container, and close the gas ballast valve after 20-40 minutes of operation. Before stopping the pump, you can open the gas ballast valve and run without load for 30 minutes to prolong the life of the pump oil.
  • 5. When the pump oil is polluted by mechanical impurities or chemical impurities, the pump oil should be replaced. The oil change steps are as follows: First, start the pump and run for about half an hour to make the oil thinner, then stop the pump! Unscrew the oil drain plug, drain the dirty oil, and then open the air inlet to run for 1-2 minutes. During this time, slowly add a small amount of clean vacuum pump oil from the air inlet to flush the pump core. After the dirty oil is put back, screw on the oil drain plug and tighten it: unscrew the oil plug, use a funnel to add clean vacuum pump oil from the oil port, and screw on the oil plug.
  • 6. The laboratory vacuum gauge pump is not suitable for pumping gas that is corrosive to metal, chemically reacts to pump oil, contains particles of dust, and gas that contains too much oxygen and is explosive; it cannot be used as a compression pump or For delivery pumps.
  • 7. When the laboratory vacuum gauge pump is not in use, use rubber stopper caps to plug the inlet and outlet ports. To prevent dirt from falling into the pump.
